Our journey begins, when Ryan and Jamie got married. They reconnected 20 years after they graduated high school.

We are a blended family, with 3 children, one boy and 2 girls.

We are in the process of creating our homestead.

I am Jamie. I had a career for over 10 years in the medical field. After some self reflecting, I decided to make a change. I decided to go from having a career to just simply having a job. I believe there are 3 types of work... Careers, Jobs, and SAHM/D. In my opinion, some people want careers, some wants jobs, and some don't want to work at all. I decided I wanted a job to just earn a paycheck. So, the change was made a few months ago.

Ryan and I are in our early 40s.

Ryan is a retired Marine Vet. He spent 20 years in the military. He slowly transitioned back into civilian life. It was a bit of a struggle at first, but I pushed for him take some time and enjoy not working. And that's exactly what he did. I have pushed for him to get back into things that he enjoys. Hunting, fishing, and cars. Needless to say, his hobbies are very expensive, but it's only money and you can't it with you when you go. Now, since his hobbies have become sooo expensive, he has a part-time job.

We live in, what used to be a small town, in Tennessee. Ryan and I, both, are transplants. We were both in the north and moved to TN a looonnnggg time ago, over 25 years ago.

I decided to start blogging because I love to write. I write short stories and poems, which I will probably post here, for your enjoyment. Blogging always peeked my interest but was never an avenue I ventured into due my own insecurities. As I grow as person, I feel like I can finally express my feelings and thoughts.

I am still deciding whether or not I am going to be posting weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. I know, no one is probably going to read this but why not, you know.
